You’ve never seen a Cirque Du Soleil performance like Zumanity . The famed circus has wowed millions but with Zumanity, hot flashes and giggles are what to expect with Zumanity, the proclaimed “sensual side” of the usually family friendly circus productions.
Zumanity is an adult Cirque production, leaving out the trademark whimsical factor and adding in topless performers, comedy, and what reviewers call “downright raunchy”. That’s all in a good way as most reviews boast full pleasure after seeing the show. Front row audience members become a part of the performance and are encouraged not to be shy as they become a part of a production that is led by a humorous drag queen, tantalizes with hoola hooping school girls and muscular wrestlers, and entertains with amazing dancing, acrobatics, and comedy.
Next week, guests of Henri Bendel’s Fashion’s Night Out event will get a taste of this edgy Cirque production. The Fashion’s Night Out event will be held at the Henri Bendel NY Flagship at 712 5th Ave starting at 5 p.m on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Zumanity performers will entertain the guests of this fashion celebration that also features designers, models, and invited food trucks, including Augustin’s Waffles.
